Two Teens Charged with Murder of 14-Year-Old in Woolwich
Two teenagers have been hit with murder charges over the death of 14-year-old Kelyan Bokassa in Woolwich last week.
Suspects Remanded Ahead of Court Appearance
A 15-year-old boy from Woolwich and a 16-year-old from Plumstead were charged in the early hours of Thursday, 16 January. Both have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court later today.
Stabbing Shocks London Bus Passengers
The horrific incident unfolded on Tuesday, 7 January. Police rushed to a stabbing reported on a Route 472 bus on Woolwich Church Street, near the A205 South Circular Road junction, at 2:28pm.
Emergency crews including London Ambulance Service paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance attended the scene. Despite desperate efforts, Kelyan was pronounced dead shortly after their arrival. Specialist officers are supporting his family during this tragic time.
Police Launch Manhunt, Multiple Arrests Made
The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command led a manhunt resulting in three arrests on 15 January. Among those detained was a 44-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender; she has since been released under investigation.
