We are all in, are you? All In UK launches nationwide community support coordination platform providing everything local groups need to take on the fight against COVID-19 and protect the vulnerable in their area.
The new platform offers a single location for isolated and vulnerable people to find their local support groups and has been launched in response to COVID-19. Available nationally, in every county, anybody can use the site to find help locally, or to volunteer for high-demand community services.
The platform provides support groups, community organisations, public bodies and businesses everything they need to coordinate their local fight against COVID-19 with free mapping, the ability to manage their support requests and volunteer base, fundraise and manage communications with a suite of coordinated tools.
Originally Set up by Oxfordshire charity KEEN with support from local businesses and volunteers, AllinUK.org has already put coronavirus support groups in Oxfordshire firmly on the map. 400 groups have registered, over 30,000 people have signed up to volunteer and Oxfordshire County Council has endorsed the community services the website provides.
“With so many support groups springing up to respond to the impact of COVID-19, we want to make it easy for people to find nearby help quickly when they need it, and to help organisations coordinate more effectively at a local level. The All in UK website is proving very successful in Oxfordshire and we are now looking to build out a national network of services using the technology platform we have created,” said Rupert da Silva, Director at KEEN, who is leading the initiative.
All In UK is looking for local support groups across every county to register at www.allinuk.org and take their support to the next level and make the most of the tools available.
Chris Kane, Founder of GiveTap.co.uk which enables charities to collect cashless donations, built the site with a clear vision: “We are all in this together, in the fight against COVID-19. With All in UK our aim is to unite and enable the amazing number of support groups across the UK, because when we all make a difference locally the impact we can have nationally is incredible”.
While Boudewijn Wijnands and David Furlong, Co-founders of Deedmob who are providing the volunteering platform for All In UK commented:
“We see that many local charities and municipalities have difficulties in using the right technologies to be able to mitigate this very complex corona lockdown situation in local communities. A lot of innovation and help will be needed by all of the stakeholders in our communities to get us through this difficult period. We are happy that All Iin UK is taking this innovative and much needed approach in this crisis. Hopefully together we can help a lot of people.” –
All In UK is supporting a joined-up approach to helping people impacted by COVID-19 through its sophisticated technology platform. This includes free tools and services for community support groups, established charities, public bodies including Parish, Town and District Councils, and businesses providing support:
- Mapping tools – organisations can add their location and services to a nationwide map
- Volunteer coordination – powered by Deedmob through allinuk.app, to manage support requests at a local group, county or even national level
- Fundraising – Ability to fundraise for The Trussell Trust through GiveTap online donation platform.
- Communications bulletin – an easy way for organisations to communicate priority information to community support groups
- Networking services that bring organisations together
- Developers on tap to build new web apps and mapping tools as the response network grows
