UPDATED: Police and Paramedics called to Canterbury The road has since reopened

Officers from Kent Police and Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service have been called to Sturry Road in Canterbury.


Emergency crews rushed to the scene just after 8am on Thursday after a person knocked from their bike.


Sturry Road is currently closed in both directions whilst the person is treated by Paramedics and Police investigate.  Drivers are already reporting long delays. Motorists are being advised to seek an alternative route if possible

The condition of the person involved is not clear.

A spokesman for Kent Police Said :

Kent Police was called to a collision between a motorbike and a car in Sturry Road, Canterbury at 7.55am on Thursday 10 December 2020.

Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital.

The road was closed while the incident was responded to but has since reopened.
