A union has said Border Force officials could go on strike over Home Office plans to turn back boats carrying migrants in the English Channel. The PCS Union and the charity Care4Calais have filed an application for judicial review on the pushback policy.
The union says the policy ‘contravenes international law and is morally reprehensible’, and could expose Border Force officials to the risk of prosecution.
