A third suspect has been charged in connection with an investigation into a string of burglaries in Maidstone, Aylesford, and Dartford

On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad arrested James Campbell in connection with multiple break-ins in which vehicles were stolen from driveways. The crimes are said to have occurred in May, when victims also reported having power tools and wallets stolen.

Mr Campbell, of Stephenson Avenue, Tilbury, Essex, was charged with nine counts of burglary, one count of attempted burglary, and two counts of driving while intoxicated. These included crimes reported in Essex as well. The 29-year-old was remanded in custody to appear in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 8.

His arrest came after that of two other suspects, Benjamin Legg, 27, and Jack Piccolo, 25, who were previously charged with seven and ten burglaries, respectively, in Rochester.

Mr. Legg of Academy Drive Road, Basildon, Essex, and Mr. Piccolo of Station Parade, Barking, Greater London, were both charged with one count of bank card theft. They appeared in Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, May 28, and were remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a later date.
