 A robbery charge has been authorised following a report a woman had two rings stolen



West Higgins, who is known to the victim, is alleged to have removed both items of jewellery from her finger after he attended a private address in the Rushdean Road area of Rochester on Friday 6 November 2020.


The 32-year-old, of Humber Crescent, Strood, was arrested on suspicion of the offence the following afternoon and later charged with robbery.


He was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 9 November. At the hearing, he was further remanded in custody and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 7 December.
