A Sittingbourne burglar has been remanded in custody after pleading guilty to the offence.
Christopher Bygraves took a mobile phone from a home in Fallowfield on the afternoon of Friday 19 June 2020.
The victim was inside the address at the time and saw the offender leave the property through a patio door.
A short time later, he returned the phone by throwing it through the open door and leaving the scene.
Kent Police officers attended and, following a search of the area, arrested Bygraves on suspicion of the offence.
The 40-year-old, of Fern Walk, Sittingbourne, was later charged with burglary and pleaded guilty during a hearing at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday 22 June.
He has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on a date that is to be determined.
