At around 5.20pm on 17 March 2021, a dispute between the occupants of a white BMW and the occupants of a white Audi took place in St George’s Avenue, near the junction of Bridgewater Road in Sheerness

A man and a teenage girl are said to have exited the Audi before assaulting the occupants of the BMW, who were a man and a woman. The female victim sustained injuries to her face and leg which required treatment at a local hospital.

Detectives have reviewed multiple lines of enquiry, including carrying out house to house checks to speak with potential witnesses and reviewing available CCTV.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, both from Sheerness, have also been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail until 15 April.

PC Stuart Drakeley, from Kent Police, said: ‘We have reviewed multiple lines of enquiry and already made two arrests as part of our investigation.

‘We do however believe there are some witnesses to the incident who are yet to speak with us, including some passing motorists who may have caught the altercation on their dash cameras and passengers who got off a bus close to the scene at the time of the incident.

‘I encourage them to contact us at their earliest opportunity.’
