New Arrest Made in Murder of 17-Year-Old Tanesha Melbourne-Blake

A 30-year-old man has been locked up on suspicion of murdering 17-year-old Tanesha Melbourne-Blake. Tanesha was fatally shot from a vehicle on Chalgrove Road, N17, just before 9.35pm on 2 April 2018. She died at the scene.

Several Arrests But No Charges Yet

After years of police investigation, the latest arrest came on Thursday, 20 February, with the suspect taken into custody on murder suspicion. This is the sixth arrest connected to the case.

  • 6 April 2018: A 30-year-old man arrested for murder; later released under investigation.
  • 14 March 2019: An 18-year-old man arrested; released under investigation.
  • 14 March 2019: A 22-year-old man arrested; also released under investigation.
  • 25 March 2019: A 50-year-old man arrested; released with no further action.
  • 12 April 2019: A 26-year-old man arrested; released with no further action.
