Serious crash in Newport leaves two women hurt after Jaguar hits tree and flips
Single-car smash sparks police hunt for witnesses
Police are urgently seeking witnesses following a nasty collision in Newport yesterday afternoon (24 March).
The black Jaguar XF smashed into a tree on Staplers Road at around 3.25pm. The impact caused the car to barrel roll multiple times before landing upside down on its roof.
Two passengers seriously hurt, driver arrested
Two female passengers, aged 35 and 17, were rushed to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries.
The 29-year-old male driver from Wootton was arrested on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs. He is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Officers have launched probes into the crash and are calling for anyone with info or dashcam footage to come forward.
