Huddersfield Drug Dealer Jailed After £100k Cocaine Bust
A Huddersfield drug dealer has been locked up for eight years after police swooped on his properties and found over £100,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis.
Joseph Masih’s Drug Empire Crumbles
Joseph Masih, 37, from Birkby, pleaded guilty to multiple drugs offences and possession of criminal property. He was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday, April 5.
The court heard Masih was caught with Class A and B drugs, including cocaine and cannabis, which he intended to supply.
Raids Uncover Massive Drug Haul
Back in December 2022, police executed warrants at Masih’s home in Birkby and another address linked to him. They uncovered huge quantities of drugs and thousands of pounds in cash stashed away.
Masih was arrested immediately and charged in court later that month.
Police Praise Operation Targeting Organised Crime
Detective Inspector James Bellhouse of the Kirklees Programme Precision Team said: “We welcome the sentencing of Masih for drug possession and dealing offences. Officers seized drugs worth potentially £100,000, cash, and drug paraphernalia.”
“Programme Precision was set up to tackle exactly this kind of organised crime. We’re pleased this operation stopped these drugs from flooding our communities.
“Drug dealing fuels the evil criminality nobody wants on their streets. This arrest is just one of many ongoing efforts by our team and Kirklees CID.”
