Neighbours actress Kym Valentine has announced the tragic passing of her former co-star Troy Beckwith, the actor best known for playing Michael Martin in the 1990s hit Aussie soap.

Beckwith first appeared as Darren Wood before landing the role of Michael Martin, playing the villainous character from 1992 to 1998. Fans nicknamed his character “Sicko Micko” for his infamous antics.
Neighbours casting director Jan Russ added her condolences, commenting, “Oh no!!! Dear Troy… That is so sad… gorgeous boy.” Fellow Aussie actor Brett Blewitt, who acted alongside Beckwith, described him as “such a lovely person” with “depth of thoughtfulness and empathy.” Blewitt said: “Way too soon. Love you mate xx.”
