A taxi slammed into an ambulance on the A259 Eastbound at Roedean Thursday night, sparking a brief road closure as emergency teams rushed to the scene.
Minor Collision, No Serious Injuries
The crash happened around 10:15 PM involving an ambulance operated by Elite Medical, a private contractor handling NHS patient transfers. Sussex Police confirmed the collision was minor, with no serious injuries reported.
“This was a minor collision only, and police are not appealing for any further information at this time,” a Sussex Police spokesperson said. “There were temporary road closures from about 10:15 PM to 11 PM.”
Road Reopens Quickly, Traffic Mostly Unaffected
The A259 was reopened after emergency services confirmed the area was safe. Drivers reported no significant delays despite the quick disruption.
