Chaos on the A27 After Tractor Overturns, Blocking Road
The A27 Eastbound ground to a halt this afternoon after a tractor flipped between the A22 Cop Hall Roundabout and the Golden Jubilee Roundabout. The overturned vehicle spilled its load of hay all over the carriageway, causing chaos for commuters.
Emergency Crews Rush to the Scene
Emergency services arrived swiftly to secure the area and manage the snarled-up traffic. Recovery teams worked flat out to right the tractor and clear the hay, restoring safety on the busy route.
Motorists were warned to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as congestion built up in both directions. Drivers faced lengthy delays during the clean-up operation and were urged to stay patient.
Road Reopens, No Injuries Reported
Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident. Authorities confirmed the road has now reopened and traffic is moving normally once again.
“Our teams worked quickly to clear the obstruction and ensure the safety of all road users. We appreciate the cooperation of drivers during the disruption,” said a spokesperson for the emergency services.
