A man was rushed to hospital with stab wounds following a shocking attack in Hucknall in the early hours of Wednesday 11 January. The victim sustained injuries to his body and legs and received quick first aid at the scene before being taken to hospital. Fortunately, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police arrested two men at the scene in Nabbs Lane at around 1.10am. A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, and another 27-year-old man was detained nearby under the same suspicion.
In response to the incident, officers have increased patrols in the Hucknall area to reassure the public while the investigation continues. Nottinghamshire Police have expressed their determination to apprehend all those involved.
Detective Sergeant Lauren Morgan of Nottinghamshire Police said: “We respond fast to serious violence, especially knife crime, to protect the public. In this case, officers provided first aid immediately while gathering evidence at the scene.”
She added, “Our investigation is just beginning. We want to hear from anyone who saw anything or has dash-cam or phone footage.”
