A sneaky thief struck twice on St Lesmo Road, Stockport, stealing parcels directly from residents’ doorsteps over two consecutive days.

December 19: Quick-Strikes Parcel Theft

On 19 December 2022, the suspect targeted three separate addresses between 3.20pm and 3.30pm. He took parcels from each doorstep without hesitation. In a bold move, he even pretended to be a homeowner and signed for a delivery on the same road.

Return Visit With Shopping Bag Full of Stolen Parcels

The following day, 20 December, the man followed a delivery driver into an apartment block. Using the tailgate, he gained access to the mailroom and filled a large shopping bag with over 30 parcels belonging to residents before fleeing on foot.

Suspect Description and Police Appeal

The thief is described as approximately 5’6” tall. At the time of the incidents, he wore a black cap, a black bubble coat, a hat, and covered his mouth with a scarf.

Police are urging anyone with information to contact them on 101 or reach out to the independent crime charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
