Two men were arrested and charged following a significant drug seizure near Hythe, Kent, on 21 May 2026. Kent police officers from Folkestone’s beat team intercepted a suspicious HGV on the A20 at around 10am after a brief pursuit.
During the stop, officers uncovered three bags containing 46 blocks of white powder. The substance was later confirmed to be cocaine, with an estimated street value exceeding £1 million.
The suspects, Dzmitry Danilah, 36, originally from Belarus with no fixed address, and Klodian Marku, 25, of South Lambeth Road, Vauxhall, London, have both been charged with being concerned in the importation of cocaine.
Both men appeared at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 25 May 2026 and were remanded in custody. Their next court hearing is scheduled to take place at Canterbury Crown Court on 22 June 2026.
Kent Police continue to investigate the case, highlighting the effectiveness of proactive patrols in intercepting large-scale drug imports on local roads.
