British Transport Police have launched a search for a man wanted over a sexual assault on a train between Northampton and Coventry on Thursday 7 May. The attack took place between 2pm and 3pm, prompting officers to release an image of a suspect believed to be key in the investigation.

The man reportedly boarded the train at Northampton station and alighted at Coventry. He is distinctive for walking with a pronounced limp, which police say could help with identification.

Detectives from British Transport Police are actively probing the assault and urge the public to assist in tracking down the suspect. The case remains open as inquiries continue.

Members of the public who have information are asked to text British Transport Police on 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 485 of 7 May. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
