Police have launched an attempted murder investigation following a brutal bus brawl in Brixton. The violent assault took place on the packed 59 bus just after 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, at the busy junction of Brixton Road and Loughborough Road.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police quickly responded to reports of a serious fight on the bus. Upon arrival, they sealed off the area and established a crime scene as the investigation continues.

London Ambulance Service paramedics were on the scene within minutes. They treated the injured man on-site before rushing him to hospital. The extent of his injuries has not been disclosed as medical staff continue to provide care.

A London Ambulance spokesman said, “We were called at 10.36am for a medical incident at the junction of Brixton Road and Loughborough Road. Resources, including a fast response unit, were sent straight away. Our crews arrived in three minutes and treated a man who was then taken to hospital as a priority.”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed officers were called at around 10.20 a.m. following reports of two men fighting on the 59 bus. One man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody. The other individual was taken to hospital, but his condition remains unknown.

Police stated, “At this early stage, no weapons are believed to be involved.” Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack and urge anyone with information to come forward.
