Chaos erupted at Biddulph High School near Staffordshire just before 11am today following a hazardous chemical spill. The incident prompted an immediate emergency response as three teenagers and two adults were rushed to Royal Stoke University Hospital for precautionary checks.
A sixth individual received treatment at the scene and was later released. Staffordshire Fire and Rescue crews acted quickly to isolate the chemical and ventilate the school, successfully clearing dangerous fumes from the premises.
A spokesperson for the fire service stated, “Two paramedic officers, an ambulance, and specialist paramedics responded. Six patients were assessed after exposure. The chemical was isolated and ventilation measures put in place.”
In the aftermath of the incident, Biddulph High School reassured concerned parents through a Facebook post, confirming that all emergency procedures were followed correctly. Meanwhile, Staffordshire Police remain on site investigating the cause of the spill as safety checks continue.
