Firefighters and the Hillhead Coastguard Team rushed to a houseboat fire in Gosport on Monday evening, 24th July 2017. The blaze broke out at The Maritime Workshop on Ferrol Road, prompting a rapid emergency response from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS).

Fortunately, the man on board, aged 50, and his two dogs were safely off the boat when crews arrived. Firefighters quickly tackled the flames using breathing apparatus and a hose reel.

The rescue teams confirmed that all individuals were accounted for and found no signs of pollution in the surrounding water.
