The deceased was reportedly out on the town the night before. Sources say he visited several pubs in Whaley Bridge and was last seen leaving The Cock pub around 11.15pm on Friday, August 11, before heading home.

“We are tracing the man’s movements in the 24 hours before his death,” said Detective Inspector Steve Topham, leading the inquiry. “If anyone saw him injured or acting strangely, please come forward. Any bit of information could help.”
