A terrifying stabbing incident occurred in Abbey Wood late on Tuesday night. A 28-year-old man was knifed in the neck on Eynsham Drive, leading to an urgent police response.

At 10:48 pm on October 24, officers arrived at the scene after emergency services received reports of a stabbing. They found the victim seriously injured but fortunate to be alive.

The man was quickly transported to hospital, where medical staff confirmed that his injuries were not life-threatening. Despite this, the police are treating the case as an attempted murder.

No arrests have been made so far, but detectives from the Metropolitan Police are actively investigating and working to identify the attacker.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at 22:48hrs on 24 October to reports of a stabbing in Eynsham Drive, SE2. Officers and the Ambulance Service found a 28-year-old man who had been stabbed in the neck. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed to be non-life threatening.”

Residents in the area are urged to come forward with any information that could assist the police in catching the culprit.
