Police are investigating a frightening aggravated burglary that took place on Cordingley Drive, Pease Pottage, in the late evening of Thursday, January 19.

At approximately 9.55pm, a group of three or four masked men broke into a residential property. The intruders forcibly entered the home and stole jewellery, a mobile phone, and car keys.

Two people were present inside the house during the incident. Although they were left shaken and distressed by the break-in, both victims escaped without any physical injuries.

The suspects were described as wearing black clothing and balaclavas. They arrived at the scene in a dark hatchback vehicle, which they used to flee towards nearby woodland, disappearing into the night.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the burglary or has relevant CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage to come forward. Members of the public who notice anything suspicious are encouraged to report it online or by calling 101, quoting serial 1260 of 19/01.
