A 31-year-old man from Tranmere has been arrested on suspicion of murder conspiracy following the tragic shooting of Elle Edwards.

Elle Edwards was shot in the head just before midnight on Christmas Eve at the Lighthouse Inn in Wallasey Village, Wirral. Police have stated that she was not the intended target in the incident.

Two other suspects who were previously arrested in connection with the shooting have since been released by the authorities.

Elle’s family has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her, describing her as the “most beautiful and bright star” who would “light up a room as she walked in.” They added, “Her laugh was infectious, anyone who was around her had a good time, she loved life and had so many amazing plans for the future.”

Merseyside Police have issued a statement mourning a life so recently begun and cruelly cut short, reflecting the deep sadness felt by the community.
