Nyle Corrigan, aged 19, was fatally shot in the back on Boode Croft, Stockbridge Village, at approximately 6.30pm on Thursday, November 12, 2020. The incident shocked the local community and sparked a murder investigation.
Despite ongoing efforts, the investigation into Nyle’s death has stalled. Merseyside Police have arrested 11 individuals connected to the case; however, no charges have been brought forward to date.
Detective Inspector Graeme Osborne commented on the case, saying: “Two years have now passed since Nyle’s fatal shooting. Our thoughts are with his family on this heartbreaking milestone.”
He added, “We’ve made progress and arrested 11 suspects, but we still need anyone with information to come forward.”
“Immediately after the shooting, a crowd gathered at the scene and some could be vital witnesses. We urge anyone who was there and hasn’t spoken to police yet to get in touch.”
Detective Inspector Osborne further stated, “Nyle’s family and friends deserve justice. We will keep working until those responsible face the courts.”
