Vandals Smash Stained Glass at Basingstoke Church

Police are hunting for clues after thugs smashed a stained glass window at St Leonard’s Church in Oakley, near Basingstoke.

The attack happened sometime between 11pm on Thursday, September 29 and 6pm on Friday, September 30. A stone was found inside the church, believed to have been hurled through the historic window.

Stone Thrown Through Sacred Window

Andy Jones from the police said: “This is an isolated incident but we want to hear from anyone who heard breaking glass or spotted anything suspicious in the area that night.”
