Cyclist Dies After Hit-and-Run Crash on Chorley New Road
A deadly hit-and-run unfolded at 4.20pm on Monday, October 17, near the junction of Chorley New Road and Lostock Junction Lane. A van smashed into a cyclist, leaving him critically injured.
The cyclist was rushed to hospital but tragically later died from his injuries. Specialist officers are supporting his family through this heartbreaking time.
Man Arrested but Released Under Investigation
A 35-year-old suspect was arrested the same evening on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. He has since been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
