Man, 25, Arrested for Rape Near Morrisons in Gosport
Horrific Attack Reported
Police were called on Sunday, July 10, after a man in his twenties was allegedly raped by another man near Walpole Road, between Morrisons and Spring Garden Lane junction.
Suspect Nabbed and Charged
Officers quickly arrested 25-year-old Cihat Mert from Forton Road, Gosport. Following an investigation, he was charged with rape.
Next Court Date Set
Mert was remanded in custody and will appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, July 21.
