Predator Christopher Coleman Guilty of Multiple Sex Offences
Christopher Coleman, 59, from Milford, has pleaded guilty to six shocking charges against the same victim. His crimes include three counts of gross indecency, two counts of indecent assault, and one count of buggery.
Abuse Started After Online Friendship
The attacks began in 1998, more than a year after Coleman first befriended the victim through an internet chatroom. Horrifically, the abuse spanned months before coming to light.
Victim Speaks Out After Coleman’s Previous Convictions
The victim stepped forward in February 2019 after spotting a local news story about Coleman’s earlier convictions for similar crimes in 2013. Coleman had been jailed with two life sentences and a minimum 15-year term — later reduced to 12 years on appeal.
He called Surrey Police to thank them for locking Coleman away and revealed he too had suffered abuse at Coleman’s hands.
New Probe Uncovers More Atrocities
This led to a police investigation, resulting in Coleman’s arrest in June 2019 on suspicion of multiple sexual offences. Justice edges closer for yet another victim of this vile predator.
