UK’s Most Wanted Fugitives Hunt Launched in Spain
The National Crime Agency (NCA) has launched a fresh crackdown on some of the UK’s most dangerous criminals believed to be hiding out in Spain. The suspects, all men, face charges ranging from murder and large-scale drug trafficking to supplying firearms and ammunition.
Powerful UK-Spain Police Alliance
The NCA’s Most Wanted campaign, running alongside CrimeStoppers, Spanish law enforcement, and UK police forces, follows the smashing success of Operation Captura, which saw 86 fugitives nabbed. Spain remains a prime spot for British expats, making it a hotspot for criminals on the run.
Steve Rodhouse, NCA’s Director General of Operations, stated at the Madrid launch, “Spain is not a safe haven. We work daily with Spanish law enforcement to protect the public. Criminals know we never give up.”
“With 86 offenders arrested in our last campaign, fugitives’ associates should fear the combined efforts of UK and Spanish forces.”
