Swindon Man Nabbed for String of Robberies and Theft Spree
James Cherry, 27, of no fixed address, was arrested on 2 October and slapped with multiple robbery charges. The Swindon resident stands accused of robbing the Pop In shop in Cavendish Square on 1 October, stealing cash from the till during the afternoon.

Cherry faced Swindon Magistrates on 3 October and was charged with three more counts of robbery, one count of theft, and two counts of criminal damage. The fresh robbery allegations cover:

- Tobacco taken from a petrol station on Dorcan Way on 21 September
- Perfume and aftershave nicked from Superdrug in Swindon on 29 September
