Police Nab Dealer After Suspicious Chat Outside Nottingham Skate Park
City knife crime officers on patrol in Hyson Green spotted a man hanging by the skate park on Maples Street. They suspected he was waiting to score drugs and kept an eye on him from a distance.
Phone Call Tips Off Police
Moments later, another man walked past and glanced into the police car. He then pulled out his phone and made a call. At the same time, the first man answered his own phone. Officers quickly formed the opinion the pair were in contact.
Dealer Caught with Class A Drugs and Burner Phones
The caller, 20-year-old Abdallah Jama, was stopped and searched on Hawksley Road. Officers found two mobile phones, one suspected as a burner phone used for drug dealing.
On 20 June, an officer detected what felt like a drugs bundle hidden in Jama’s underwear. In custody, he was found with a large haul of heroin and crack cocaine, plus a partially smoked cannabis joint.
Charged and Banged Up
Jama now faces serious charges: possession with intent to supply heroin, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, and possession of cannabis.
