Chaos erupted on High Street just before 5pm on Thursday, June 20, 2024, as a gang of teenage boys allegedly swiped alcohol without paying.
Teens Denied Vapes Turn Aggressive
The group reportedly tried to buy vaping products but couldn’t prove their age. When the sale was refused, they became verbally abusive. Tensions escalated when one teen pulled a knife, leaving a shop worker fearing for his life.
Quick Police Response Leads to Arrests
Officers swooped on the scene at 5:05pm, quickly arresting two boys on suspicion of robbery and a third on suspicion of robbery and knife possession.
Evidence Recovered: Knife and Vodka
A small knife and a bottle of vodka were seized as police continue their investigation.
Young Suspects Bailed
The suspects, just 14, 13, and 11 years old, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
