Teen Murder Horror: 16-Year-Old Kennie Carter Fatally Stabbed in Stretford
Kennie Carter, just 16, tragically died in hospital on Saturday, January 22, after suffering a fatal chest wound in a stabbing incident in Stretford.
Nine Teens Re-Arrested Over Kennie’s Death
Police initially arrested nine teenagers, aged between 13 and 17, on suspicion of murder. All were released on bail with strict conditions. However, detectives re-arrested all nine suspects on Tuesday morning as the investigation ramps up.
Of these, eight have been re-bailed pending further inquiries while one remains in custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Alicia Smith of GMP’s Major Incident Team said, “Kennie’s death has sent shockwaves through the community and left a family devastated. He was just 16 with his whole life ahead of him.”

The investigation continues with a focus on finding answers for Kennie’s grieving family.
