Teen Stabbed in Brutal Johnstone Bus Stop Attack
Detectives are on high alert after a 16-year-old boy was seriously injured in a vicious stabbing at a Johnstone bus stop. The terrifying attack happened just after 12:20pm on Wednesday, September 13th, leaving the youth fighting for his life.
Two Teens Flee Scene After Brutal Assault
The victim was waiting opposite Thorn Court when two teen boys approached. What started as a frightening encounter quickly turned violent. The victim was stabbed in a savage attack before the pair bolted through Thorn Court.
- Attacker 1: Slim, mid to late teens, short brown hair, dark tracksuit with hood or baseball cap
- Attacker 2: Slim, mid to late teens, light-coloured top, bag strapped across chest
Emergency services rushed to the scene, taking the injured boy to hospital where his condition is stable but serious. Police are treating the case as attempted murder.
Investigation Underway, Public Urged to Help
An 18-year-old man was arrested but later released pending further inquiries. Officers are scouring CCTV and collecting evidence as they hunt for the attackers.
Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie said, “At this stage, the motive is unknown. A 16-year-old has been seriously injured. I appeal to anyone who was nearby at the time to come forward, no matter how small the information. Please check any dash cam or doorbell footage that could help our investigation.”
