Teen Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Hailsham
Police have detained a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder following a stabbing in Hailsham on Thursday evening, August 29.
Man Stabbed in Chest Dies at Scene
Emergency services rushed to Vicarage Field around 6.20pm after reports of a serious chest injury. Paramedics treated a man in his 20s, but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Investigation Underway as Community Reels
Officers quickly identified a suspect and found him at a nearby property. The teen remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Chief Inspector James Scott said: “This is a tragic incident which I know will be distressing for the community. Our thoughts are with the family of this young man as we seek to understand exactly what happened this evening.”
