Man Arrested Over Murder on Ballards Lane
A 36-year-old man was arrested on the evening of Saturday, 28 May, on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody as detectives continue their investigation.
Disturbance Ends in Fatal Stabbing
Police responded to a disturbance on Ballards Lane, N12, at 4.05am on Friday, 27 May. Officers and the London Ambulance Service found a man with a serious neck injury. Despite emergency efforts, he died at the scene.
Victim Identified as Nicholas Sutin
The victim has been named as 55-year-old Nicholas Sutin. A post-mortem at Northwick Park Hospital Mortuary confirmed he died from head injuries and a stab wound to the neck.
Second Suspect Released on Bail
A 40-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of murder but has since been bailed until late June.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command said: “Our investigation into Nicholas’ death is continuing at pace and officers are working around the clock to establish exactly what happened.
“My team continue to work in the area to identify anyone who may have seen or heard anything which will assist the investigation. Officers have already spoken to several witnesses but I would encourage anyone else with information to contact us immediately.”
