Eleven Men Charged in Major Kent and Essex Drug Bust

Eleven men have been charged following a massive police crackdown on an alleged organised crime gang by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

Raid Hits Multiple Locations Across South East England

In the early hours of Wednesday 12 August 2020, officers executed numerous warrants in Ashford, Canterbury, Maidstone, and Sheerness. Further searches were carried out in Bristol, Essex, Hertfordshire, and London, with support from the Metropolitan Police, Hertfordshire Constabulary, and Avon and Somerset Police.

The raids uncovered huge cannabis farms in Ashford and Watton-at-Stone, Hertfordshire. Police also seized around £40,000 in cash and an Audi car.

Suspects Named and Facing Cannabis Supply Charges

The following men have been charged with conspiring to supply cannabis:

  • Hekuran Perhati, 33, of Victoria Crescent, Ashford
  • Ndue Paluca, 29, of Maple Street, Sheerness
  • Klevis Prenga, 31, no fixed address
  • David Toal, 49, Waterside, London Colney, Hertfordshire
  • Dashmair Dishi, 34, no fixed address
  • Drilon Dishi, 36, no fixed address
  • Fation Perhati, 28, Mungo Park Road, Rainham, East London
  • Doris Perhati, 24, Week Street, Maidstone
  • Brooklyn Selita, 18, Falcon Way, Harrow, Greater London
  • Kejvi Leba, 20, Mill Lane, Watton-at-Stone
  • Adrian Toma, 23, no fixed address

Magistrates Court Appearance and Bail Details

All suspects appeared before Medway Magistrates on Friday 14 August. All were remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday 11 September, except Dashmair Dishi, who was released on bail.

Two other men arrested during the raids — a 31-year-old from Sheerness and a 26-year-old from Brentwood — have been released, one under investigation and the other without charge.
