The family of Julie Gibson, 56, who died after a serious collision in Aston earlier this month, have released a touching photo and statement today (Sunday 16 July).
Fatal Crash on Mansfield Road Involving Pedestrian and Ford Puma
Julie suffered fatal injuries after being hit by a black Ford Puma on Mansfield Road. The crash happened just before 6.40am on Tuesday 11 July, about 200 metres from the Lodge Lane junction near an alleyway.

“Our family are staying and will remain strong in these horrific times. My mum was the reason my dad believes in love and that will never escape him. We won’t let this beat us and are prepared to fight for our mum till the very end. Police Arrest Two Over Fatal Collision, Appeal for Witnesses
A 44-year-old man from Sheffield and a 46-year-old woman from Rotherham have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Both have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
