Basingstoke Drug Gang Busted: Big Jail Time for Class A Suppliers
A vicious drugs ring peddling Class A substances in Basingstoke and Andover has been smashed by Hampshire cops. Five dealers have been slammed with hefty sentences after a year-long probe into their deadly cocaine trade.
Drug Dealers Locked Up
- Terry Hall, 40, caught cutting up kilos of cocaine, was jailed for eight years.
- Darren Bryant, 38, jailed for seven years and seven months for his part in the supply chain.
- Saran Man-Uam, 31, sentenced to four years and eight months behind bars.
- David Ratcliff, 35, got a two-year suspended sentence plus 200 hours unpaid work.
- Carla Porter, 24, handed a two-year suspended sentence and 200 hours unpaid work for possession and intent to supply cocaine.
Inside the Bust: £125k Worth of Cocaine Seized
On 14 December 2020, officers stormed a Basingstoke flat where Bryant, Hall, and Man-Uam were caught red-handed near a kitchen table stacked with a kilogram block of cocaine being chopped up. Scales lay on the floor beside it.
- Cops seized cocaine valued between £100,000 and £125,000.
- Cash, multiple phones—including encrypted devices used to mask calls—and other drug supplies were also confiscated.
- Phone analysis revealed drug marketing messages and linked other suspects including Porter and Ratcliff to the ring.
- During the operation, officers uncovered flashy lifestyles with expensive cars and designer clothes funded by dirty cash.
Detective Sounds Off on Drug Crime Impact
“This long and detailed investigation took down a ruthless group who preyed on vulnerable addicts to fund their luxury lives,” said Det. Constable Matt Dennis. “Encrypted phones failed to shield Hall and Bryant, allowing us to build a watertight case. They thought they’d profit forever—but now they’re facing justice. Drugs bring misery and fuel serious crime like violence and disorder. We’re committed to rooting out dealers and keeping communities safe.”
