Man Charged with Murder After Basingstoke Hospital Attack
A 19-year-old man has been charged with murder following a shocking incident in Basingstoke.
Owen Herbert Faces Court Over Fatal Assault
Owen Herbert, from Overton, Hampshire, appeared via video link at Winchester Crown Court today (27 July). He faces charges of murder, attempted murder, and assaulting a paramedic.
Herbert was remanded in custody and is due to appear again in court on 14 November.
Deadly Hospital Attack Shocks Community
- The incident unfolded at 4:07 a.m. on Saturday, 27 November last year at Parklands Hospital.
- Richard Laversuch, 63, from Andover, died at the scene after being attacked.
- A second man in his 60s was also assaulted but later released after hospital treatment.
Police continue to investigate the brutal assault that rocked the Hampshire community last November.
