Joseph Carver, 41, from Crumlin, was jailed after nearly £90,000 worth of cocaine was discovered following a vehicle collision. The incident took place while Carver was transporting approximately 900 grams of cocaine, which resulted in his arrest and a police investigation.

The crash occurred when Carver collided with another car while carrying close to one kilogram of white powder, later confirmed to be cocaine. At the scene, police recovered weighing scales, clear plastic bags, and a mobile phone, all suggesting involvement in drug distribution.

Following the collision, officers arrested Carver at his home where they seized additional drug supply materials. These included tick lists, weighing scales, a mobile phone, and over 400 grams of cannabis.

Messages recovered from Carver’s phones revealed his involvement in supplying around 30 kilograms of cocaine over an 11-month period, demonstrating the extensive nature of his operation.

Carver pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis, possession with intent to supply both drugs, and possession of criminal property. On 4 June, Cardiff Magistrates’ Court sentenced him to eight years imprisonment.
