Corey Ledgister, 51, from Enfield, is currently in custody following a police raid that uncovered a large stash of fake firearms, ammunition, and drugs.
On Thursday, 9 April, officers from the Metropolitan Police executed a search at Ledgister’s residence on Farndale Avenue. During the operation, they seized 13 counterfeit Glock-style pistols, 13 extended magazines, and 640 rounds of ammunition.
Ledgister has been charged with several serious offences, including 13 counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life, and possession of an offensive weapon in both public and private places.
In addition to the firearm-related charges, police also found cannabis at the property, resulting in an additional drug charge. Ledgister was formally charged on Friday, 10 April, and is due to appear at Stratford Magistrates Court on Saturday, 11 April.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Damian Hill of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command commented on the operation: “Tackling violence and the threat of counterfeit firearms is one we take incredibly seriously. I am pleased that our operation has resulted in dangerous weapons taken off our streets.”
