Detectives investigating the murder of 16-year-old Tyler Hurley in Chadwell Heath are returning to the scene one week after his fatal stabbing. The tragic incident took place aboard a Route 173 bus in East London.

Police were called at 3.55pm on Monday, 14 March, following reports of a stabbing on a Route 173 bus on High Road, near Woodlands Avenue. Tyler Hurley was rushed to hospital with a stab wound but sadly later died.

A man has been charged with Tyler’s murder and is currently remanded in custody. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Rogers, who is leading the investigation, said his team will continue to gather information.

“My officers will be back at the scene one week on from Tyler’s murder as we continue to gather information about the events that led to this tragic incident,” said Detective Chief Inspector Rogers. “If you have any information that you think could help this investigation then please either speak to one of my team or give police a call.”
