Second Arrest Made After Shocking Walsall Rape and Assault
Police have arrested a second man following reports of a rape and assault near the One Stop Shopping Centre on Saturday, 18 January.
Two Women Attacked in Broad Daylight
Officers rushed to Walsall Road at around 1:50 am after a woman called to report a brutal attack. Minutes later, police received another report detailing an assault on a different woman near Holford Drive on Aldridge Road.
Two Men Held Over Horrific Incidents
- A 21-year-old man was arrested today at a Birmingham address on suspicion of rape. He remains in custody as the investigation heats up.
- Yesterday, a 22-year-old man was arrested but has since been released on police bail in connection with the same case.
Detectives are keeping all options open on whether the two attacks are linked.
