Police in Swindon have launched an urgent appeal after a hit-and-run incident left a pedestrian fighting for life. The collision involved a stolen green Vauxhall Adam Glam that struck a man before fleeing the scene.

The incident occurred on Thursday, January 30, at approximately 3:35 PM at the junction of Bay Tree Court and Pinehurst Road. The Vauxhall had been stolen overnight from Swindon’s Old Town area.

The vehicle hit a man in his 40s, causing potentially life-changing injuries. Following the collision, the car was found abandoned near the crash site.

Two suspects, described as white males, exited the vehicle and ran towards Hornbeam Court. One was wearing blue jeans and a white top, had a beard, and the other was dressed entirely in black and wore a hat.

Sergeant James Barrett from the Roads Policing Unit appealed for information, stating: “This was a very serious collision which has left the pedestrian with significant injuries. We believe there are more people who may have either witnessed the collision or seen the suspects fleeing the scene.”

He added, “We also urge residents in the area to check their Ring doorbells or CCTV footage for any images of the suspects or the vehicle.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting reference 542500012417, or to report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to locate the hit-and-run suspects and bring justice for the injured victim.
