Three Men Jailed for Brutal Daylight Attack in Edinburgh

Three men have been locked up for seven years each after a savage daylight assault in Edinburgh. The High Court sentenced Lewis Spence, 26, Connor Steele, 23, and Bradley Logan, 25, today following an attempted murder on Lochend Road South back in September 2020.

Victim Left Fighting for Life

The 40-year-old victim was rushed to St John’s Hospital in Livingston with severe injuries after the attack. The violent assault shocked the local community.

Police Crack Down on Organised Crime

Detective Inspector Kevin Tait from Edinburgh CID said: “This was a targeted, violent attack linked to organised criminality that occurred in broad daylight.”

He added: “The men were arrested following an extensive investigation and will now face the consequences of their actions.”

DI Tait also thanked the public for their help. “Their assistance undoubtedly helped secure this conviction,” he said.

“This kind of violent crime will not be tolerated in Edinburgh,” he warned. “We are committed to disrupting harmful activity and bringing perpetrators to justice.”
