Three sisters and their friend have been locked up after a vicious, unprovoked attack in Scarborough that left a woman in her 50s with life-changing injuries. The victim was enjoying a night out when she was brutally punched, kicked, and beaten unconscious in what the court described as a relentless and savage assault.
Sentences Handed Down for October 2023 Attack
- Toni Lee Patterson, 32, of Cross Street – Jailed for eight years
- Ellie Patterson, 20, of Springhill Road – Seven years and three months in a Young Offenders Institution
- Abbie Patterson, 19, also of Springhill Road – Suspended sentence
- Tania Louise Stott, 35, of Cross Street – One year in jail
Judge Slams ‘Cowardly and Sustained’ Attack
The judge condemned the savage assault, calling it “a cowardly and sustained attack on a defenceless woman who had done nothing to provoke such violence.” The victim continues to face ongoing physical and emotional trauma.
Police Issue Warning After Shocking Scarborough Assault
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “This was a shocking and vicious attack that has left the victim with lasting injuries. Violence of this nature will not be tolerated, and we hope these sentences serve as a warning to others.”
