Police Called After Man Seen With What Looked Like Firearm
Wiltshire Police are on the hunt for witnesses after a tense fake gun incident rattled Wood Lane, Chippenham, around 9:20pm on July 18, 2024. Multiple neighbours dialled 999, reporting a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm.
‘Gun’ Turns Out to Be Imitation, But Suspect Still Arrested
Officers quickly attended the scene and confirmed the weapon was a replica. Despite this, the seriousness of the alarm led to a man in his 20s being arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm. He has since been bailed while investigations continue.
